Pilot Program Welcome Talks
During the first day of reception, a single online session will be organized to present the program of the two Freshers’ Weeks. They will be provide you here information relating to timetables, the use of the Luiss Learn platform both for interactive teaching moments and for finding all the details of the activities (timetable, classroom, working groups, materials).
Department Welcome Talks – Presentation of the degree course
Course presentation session by the Director Prof. Italiano with the testimony of a young Luiss graduate who will be able to give you an overview of the prospects and career opportunities of your academic career.
Enabling Technologies for Smart&Phygital Collaborative Systems
Scientific knowledge is fundamental for solving complex problems and touches many aspects of human life. This module will complement the social sciences approach of your Master’s program, with the exploration of research methods and results in STEMS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with the aim of enriching your perspectives and addressing complex problems . This module will provide a set of basic science (mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry), engineering and technology concepts that enable the future of medicine, health, well-being and quality of life.
Each lesson will be based on a series of key theoretical pills, case studies and examples of research and innovation projects, promoted and led directly by the instructors in their research groups and laboratories.
Teamwork will focus on the conception, proposal and validation of a concept of a bio-inspired system to provide innovative solutions in a specific application context.

Meet the Luiss Community
The activity is aimed at introducing you to the field of education based on research and practice, right from the start of your studies. Specifically, it will involve the division of you students into groups: each group will be assigned the name of one of the members of the Luiss community (who can be either a member of the faculty or a professional) and entrusted with the task of interviewing the guest, doing research on his specific role and introduce him to the rest of the class. The interviews will be organized independently by you students. There will also be group work sessions, in which the students will elaborate the interview, creating a presentation that will be shared with the rest of the class during a plenary meeting, in the presence of all the guests of the Luiss Community.
